Maģistra darbā "Tautas nobalsošanas institūts demokrātiskā valstī" autors analizē tautas nobalsošanas institūta normatīvo regulējumu, piemērošanas praksi Latvijā un valstīs ar salīdzināmu tiesību sistēmu. Maģistra darba mērķis ir izpētīt tautas nobalsošanas institūta normatīvo regulējumu un piemērošanas praksi, sniedzot priekšlikumus to pilnveidošanai. Maģistra darba izstrādē autors ir izmantojis vēsturiskās analīzes metodi, lai parādītu tautas nobalsošanas institūta vēsturisko attīstību, salīdzinošās analīzes metodi - lai salīdzinātu attiecināmo normatīvo regulējumu un tiesību normu piemērošanas praksi Latvijā un atsevišķās ārvalstīs, induktīvo metodi - lai no atsevišķiem secinājumiem izdarītu vispārīgus secinājumus, deduktīvo metodi - lai no vispārīgiem secinājumiem izdarītu konkrētus secinājumus. Magistra darbs sastāv no ievada, četrām nodaļām (tautas nobalsošanas un demokrātijas institūtu mijiedarbība; tautas nobalsošanas tiesiskais regulējums un tā piemērošanas prakse Latvijā; tautas nobalsošanas institūta izmantošanas ierobežojumi; tautas nobalsošana ārvalstīs) un kopsavilkuma (secinājumiem). In the Master's thesis "The National Referendum Institute in a Democratic State", the author analyzes the normative regulation of the referendum institute, the practice of its application in Latvia and in countries with a comparable legal system. The aim of the Master's thesis is to study the normative regulation and application practice of the referendum institute, making proposals for their improvement. The author has used the method of historical analysis to demonstrate the historical development of the referendum institute, the method of comparative analysis - to compare the applicable normative regulation and practice of application of legal norms in Latvia and abroad, inductive method - to draw general conclusions from separate conclusions, deductive method. - to draw concrete conclusions from general conclusions. The Master's Thesis consists of an introduction, four chapters (interaction between the institutes of referendum and democracy; legal framework of the referendum and its application in Latvia; restrictions on the use of the institute of referendum; referendums abroad) and summary (conclusions).
