Vieni norāda uz to, ka viedierīces kavē bērna attīstību, turklāt citi uzsver to pozitīvo ietekmi. The theme of the qualification paper - Influence of smart devices on the development of 5-6 year old children in pre-school pedagogical process. The aim was to study the effects of the latest technologies in early childhood. The paper analyzes theoretical literature on the physical and socio-economic development of 5-6 year old children. Positive and negative effects of the use of smart devices in children have been studied. The latest digital technologies used in the pedagogical process in pre-school are summarized and analyzed. The study concludes that there are both skeptics and optimists in the community on this topic. Some point to the fact that smart devices slow down a child's development, while others emphasize their positive effects. These global changes in technology and pedagogical methods are neither good nor bad in themselves. We need to accept them, only to use safe and age-appropriate content. In the empirical part the research is based on observation of children and data collection in the pre-school pedagogical process. The results of the study show that children are interested and quick to adopt all new things, and using the interactive whiteboard correctly can promote children's development.
