The aim of the paper is to analyze chances for independence under public international law on the territory of Western Sahara as the result of the conflict between Morocco and Western Sahara. The tasks of the paper are to analyze the theories of statehood and law of statehood together with the notion of the self-determination of states. Give a view on a brief history of the Western Sahara case and study the activity of the Polisario Front. Analyze public international law in a frame of Western Sahara case with independence movement and understand today’s states of Western Sahara.
