Uzmanības deficīta un hiperaktivitātes simptomu saistība ar vizuālo uzmanību 9 gadus veciem bērniem

Abstract

Pētījuma mērķis bija noskaidrot, kā uzmanības deficīta un hiperaktivitātes simptomi ir saistīti ar vizuālo uzmanību 9 gadus veciem bērniem. Pētījumā piedalījās 255 bērni (142 zēni un 113 meitenes), kuri bija 9 gadus veci (M = 9,00, SD = 0,00). Metodes, kuras tika izmantotas pētījumā, bija UDHS pašnovērtējuma aptauja (11 simptomi) (Vanags, & Riekstiņa, 2018) un Šifrēšanas tests (Symbol Digit Modalities Test, Smith, 1991; Vanags, & Ekmanis, 2018). Iegūtie rezultāti parāda, ka tikai četri no 11 uzmanības deficīta un hiperaktivitātes simptomiem ir statistiski nozīmīgi saistīti apstrādes ātrumu, un šīs saistības ir vājas, kas ir pretrunā ar iepriekšējiem pētījumiem. Rezultāti rosina izvērtēt, vai izvēlētā metode ir atbilstoša pētījuma mērķim.

The aim of this study was to find out how the attention deficit and hyperactivity symptoms are related to visual attention in 9 year old children. The study consisted of 255 participants (142 boys and 113 girls) that were 9 years old (M = 9,00, SD = 0,00). The methods that were used in the study were ADHD self–rating survey (11 symptoms) (Vanags, & Riekstiņa, 2018) and Symbol Digit Modalities Test (Smith, 1991; Vanags, & Ekmanis, 2018). The gathered results show that only four out of 11 attention deficity and hyperactivity symptoms relate to the processing speed, and these connections are weak, which goes against previous findings. The results encourage to estimate whether the chosen method is adequate for the study.
