Algoritmiski ģenerēta mūzika

Abstract

Mūsdienās arvien vairāk procesiem ikdienā tiek meklēti veidi, kā tos optimizēt un ļaut cilvēkam pārstāt darīt vispār. Manuālais darbs tiek aizstāts ar tehnoloģiju veiktu. Arī mūzikas radīšanai ir vairāki veidi, kā to veikt, lietojot ne tikai cilvēka iztēli, talantu un māksliniecisko domāšanu, bet arī matemātiku, loģiku un algoritmus. Tiek izstrādāti algoritmi, kas ģenerē mūziku bez cilvēka tiešas iesaistes, kā arī tādi, kas strādā tikai kā viens no soļiem šīs mākslas radīšanas procesā. Darba mērķis ir izpētīt, kā, izmantojot dažādus algoritmus, ir iespējams ģenerēt mūziku. Tiek aprakstīti dažādi ģenerēšanas un izveduma interpretācijas veidi, kā arī veikti praktiski eksperimenti ar algoritmiem, kas izmanto attēlu kā pamatu mūzikas radīšanai.

Nowadays there is an unstoppable search to optimize and allow humans not to do the processes, that have been done by us most of the history. Manual work is often replaced by technology. There are several ways, in which creating music can be done by using mathematics, logic and algorithms, not only human imagination, talent and artistic thinking. There are many algorithms that generate music with or without the help of human imagination in the process. The aim of this work is to research the ways various algorithms can be used in the process of generating music. Different types of generation and result interpretation are be explored and described. Practical experiments with algorithms that translate pictures into music are performed and described as well.
