Promocijas darba „Nanovadu un nanocaurulīšu pielietojums nanoelektromehāniskās ierīcēs” anotācija
Nanoelektromehāniskās sistēmas ir sistēmas, kuru raksturīgie izmēri ir daži desmiti nanometri. Izmantojot nanoskalas efektus, nanoelektromehāniskās sistēmas piedāvā interesantas un unikālas īpašības, kas ļoti atšķiras no plaši izmantotajām mikroelektromehāniskajām sistēmām. Šajā darbā galvenā uzmanība tiek pievērsta divu pozīciju nanoelektromehānisku ON-OFF slēdžu izveidei. Principā šādas ierīces sastāv no aktīvā elementa (nanovada), kurš tiek pārslēgts starp ieejas elektrodiem, un strādā, pateicoties smalkai pievilkšanās un atgrūšanās spēku balansēšanai.
Šajā darbā
tika realizēti uz vienā galā nostiprinātiem germānija un molibdēna-sulfīda-jodīda nanovadiem balstīti divu termināļu ON-OFF nanoelektromehāniskie slēdži ar vienu ieejas elektrodu;
tika izpētīti un pilnveidoti realizēto nanoelektromehānisko ierīču darbības parametri;
tika demonstrēti uz vienā galā nostiprinātiem germānija nanovadiem balstīti divu termināļu ON-OFF nanoelektromehāniski slēdži ar diviem un trim ieejas elektrodiem;
tika izpētītas un salīdzinātas dažādu struktūru oglekļa nanocaurulīšu fizikālās īpašības;
tika noskaidrota oglekļa nanocaurulīšu fizikālo īpašību atkarība no to struktūras. Abstract of doctoral thesis „Application of nanowires and nanotubes in nanoelectromechanical systems”
Nanoelectromechanical systems are systems with characteristic dimensions of a few tens of nanometers. By exploiting nanoscale effects, nanoelectromechanical systems present interesting and unique characteristics, which deviate greatly from their predecessor microelectromechanical systems.
The point of interest of this work is development of bistable - having ON and OFF positions - nanoelectromechanical devices. Such devices basicly consist of an active element (nanowire) switching between the input electrodes and are working due to fine balancing of attractive and repulsive forces.
During this work
the ON-OFF two-terminal nanoelectromechanical switches based on the individual single-clamped germanium and molybdenum-sulphure-iodine nanowires and having one input electrode are realised;
the operational conditions of realised nanoelectromechanical devices are investigated and ways of devices’ operation improvement are found;
the ON-OFF two-terminal nanoelectromechanical switches based on the individual single-clamped germanium nanowires having two and three input electrodes are demonstrated;
the physical properties of having various structures individual carbon nanotubes are investigated and compared;
the dependence of physical properties on carbon nanotubes’ structure is clarified.
