Agro jauno laiku Rīgas kapsētu apbedījumu izpēte ar senās DNS analīzēm: nozīmīgākās pieejas un izpētes perspektīvas

Bakalaura darba mērķis ir noskaidrot, kā ar senās DNS analīžu palīdzību ir iespējams papildināt jau esošās zināšanas, kas iegūtas ar tādām pētniecības metodēm kā literatūras un avotu analīze, kā arī arheoloģijas metodēm, kā piemēru izmantojot konkrētus agro jauno laiku Rīgas apbedījumus. Darba ietvaros tika veikta senās DNS izdalīšana un analīze, kuras rezultāti sasaistīti ar apbedījumu arheoloģisko un vēsturisko kontekstu, tādejādi izvirzot populāciju ģenētikas teorijā balstītas hipotēzes par konkrēto indivīdu izcelsmi. Darba rezultātā noteikta aptuvena izcelsme no mātes puses trijiem un dzimums visiem sešiem no pētāmajiem indivīdiem. Apbedītajiem konstatēti dažādi izcelsmes reģioni, kas apliecina to, ka Rīgas iedzīvotāji agro jauno laiku periodā bijuši etniski daudzveidīgi. The aim of the bachelor's thesis is to establish how analysis of ancient DNA could possibly expand the existing knowledge gained with such historical research methods as literature and source analysis, as well as archeology methods, using Early Modern period Riga burials as an example. Within the framework of the work, the ancient DNA extraction and analysis was performed, the results of which were related to the archaeological and historical context of the burials, thus putting forward hypotheses about the origins of specific individuals based on the theory of population genetics. As a result of the work, the approximate origin from mother’s bloodline was determined for half of the subjects and sex of all six of the studied individuals. Different regions of origin have been identified for individuals, which confirms that the inhabitants of Early Modern period Riga were ethnically diverse.
