The work looks at the Property Testing paradigm and the testing of monotonicity on the line or function. The Property Testing paradigm is associated with the design of sub-linear algorithms that access only part of the data. Based on this data, an algorithm with a probability can determine whether the data has a property. Based on paradigm principles, the algorithm must be able to determine whether the given data volume is monotonous faster than linear time. Best previous result for monotonicity test on a function f:[n] --> [r] is Theta(log(epsilon n)/epsilon) when epsilon <= 1/2. Neither the most efficient algorithm nor the lower bound assessment are known at epsilon > 1/2, e.g., for functions that are very far from being monotonous. Work will demonstrate the proof of lower bound for testing monotonicity for functions at epsilon > 1/2, and will demonstrate upper and lower bounds for small functions consisting of two arguments.
