dc.description.abstractThe thesis will analyze the cases of legitimate interests of employers and will illustrate the reasoning and legal basis for employees data processing based on Article 6, part (1) paragraph (f) under the GDPR in EU and national legislation (Latvia), analyzing both legislation and case law, trying to answer the research questions. Analyzed cases are actual European Court of Human Rights case law decisions about employers’ monitoring of employees in the context of the Article 8 of the ECHR, Court of Justice of the European Union judgements of interpretation of Data protection Directive 95/46/EC about processing of personal data, as there are no actual judgements ruling on the grounds of GDPR.en_US
