Andris Lapiņš izstrādāja kvalifikācijas darbu ,,Droša identifikācijas sistēmas izveide mobilajām ierīcēm”. Kvalifikācijas darba mērķis ir secināt, kurš protokols un kāda implementācija spētu nodrošināt drošāko un ātrāko savienojumu starp kvalifikācijas darbā pētītajām tehnoloģijām. Kvalifikācijas darba uzdevumi bija izpētīt dažādus droša savienojuma izveidošanas protokolus un to implementācijas, ar kuru palīdzību vienlaikus būtu iespējams nodrošināt mobilo iekārtu klejošanu pa dažādiem tīkliem attālināti jeb caur internetu. Rezultātā tika eksperimentētas VPN funkcionalitātes, un pētījums sniedza sapratni, kuru tehnoloģiju vislabāk izvēlēties atbilstoši darba vietas prasībām. The target of the qualification paper is to conclude which protocol and what implementation could provide the safest and the fastest connection among the researched technologies in the qualification paper. The task of the qualification paper was to research different protocols and their implementations for the creation of secure connection with which help it could be possible to provide mobile device roaming around different networks remotely or through the Internet. As a result, VPN functionalities were tested, and the research provided an understanding about what technology to preferably choose according to the requirements at work.
