Pētījumā piedalījās 130 respondenti ( 77 sievietes, 53 vīrieši) vecumā no 20 līdz 50 gadiem. Atslēgas vardi: kognitīvie izkropļojumi, kognitīvā elastība, apzinātība The goal of the research was to determine whether there is a correlation between different types of cognitive impairment and indicators of cognitive flexibility and mindfulness. 130 respondents participated in the research (77 female, 53 male) aged 20 to 50 years. Following three surveys were applied to the research: Cognitive Distortions Scale (CDS), Covin, Dozois, Ogniewiez & Seeds, 2011, The Cognitive Control & Flexibility Questionnaire; CCFQ; Gabrys, Tabri, Anisman & Matheson, 2018 and Cognitive and Afective Mindfulness Scale (CAMS- R), Feldman, Hayes, Kumar, Greeson & Laurenceau, 2006. The results of the research show that there are statistically significant relationships between the types of cognitive distortions, cognitive elasticity and awareness indicators. People with cognitive impairments have lower cognitive and affective mindfulness, as well as lower cognitive control and flexibility, including weaker control over emotions. People with higher level of cognitive control and flexibility also have higher level of cognitive and affective mindfulness. It is characterized by a higher level of attention, focus on the present, better awareness and acceptance. Keywords: cognitive distortions, cognitive flexibility, mindfulness.
