SUMMARY The topicality of the research: Antibacterial resistance is a global problem, so it is important to look for new ways to treat infections. The most promising alternatives are essentials oils. Aim of the work: To determine the susceptibility of E. coli and Klebsiella species isolated in the laboratory to antibiotics and essential oils using a microbiological method and statistical treatment. Results: Among 242 E. coli and 214 Klebsiella samples, ESBL produces 7.85% E. coli and 11.21% Klebsiella spp. examples. The best susceptibility was found for meropenem / imipenem, which is 99.59% and 99.53%, respectively, and the lowest for ciprofloxacin, Klebsiella spp. - 86.45%, E. coli - 91.74%. Of the three oils studied, Origanum vulgare showed the most prominent antibacterial activity, while Rosmarinus officinalis had the lowest effifacy.
