The Bachelor’s thesis “Factors affecting missed nursing care in anesthesia, intensive and emergency nurse job” is a quantitative study developed to determine and analyze the factors affecting missed nursing care in anesthesia, intensive and emergency nurse job. The instrument of the research is the quantitative study “The MISSCARE Survey” approbated in Latvia and worldwide. The results of the research indicate that missed nursing activities, inadequate staff in the department, stress and/or lack of communication among the staff, team work and unavailability or failure of equipment – are an important reason for appearance of missed nursing care in anesthesia, intensive and emergency nurse job acknowledging the confirmation of the hypothesis raised during the study.
