Internalizētās homonegativitātes un sevis pieņemšanas saistība ar dažādiem orientācijas atklāšanas aspektiem neheteroseksuāli orientētiem indivīdiem

Abstract

Pētījuma mērķis ir noskaidrot kā saistīta internalizētā homonegativitāte un sevis pieņemšana, un kā šie konstrukti saistās ar dažādiem orientācijas atklāšanas aspektiem – laiks, kas pagājis kopš orientācijas atklāšanas, uz atklāšanos saņemtā reakcija, sociālā vide, kurā orientācija ir atklāta. 104 ne-heteroseksuāli orientēti respondenti vecumā virs 18 gadiem tiešsaistē aizpildīja Rozenberga pašcieņas aptauju, Beznosacījuma sevis pieņemšanas aptauju, Pārskatīto internalizētās homonegativitātes skalu, Atklāšanās aptauju un novērtēja uz orientācijas atklāšanu saņemto reakciju. Pētījuma rezultāti uzrāda nozīmīgu negatīvu saistību starp internalizēto homonegativitāti un sevis pieņemšanu, bet neuzrāda sakarības ar atklāšanās pakāpi, saņemto reakciju un laiku, kas pagājis kopš atklāšanās. Atklāšanās pakāpi nozīmīgi prognozē kolēģu, māsu/brāļu, mātes un svešinieku, nesenu paziņu reakcija.

The present study aims to examine relationship of internalized homonegativity and self-acceptance, and how these constructs relate to different aspects of orientation disclosure – time passed since orientation disclosure, reaction to disclosure, social environment in which orientation is disclosed. 104 non-heterosexually oriented respondents over the age of 18 completed Rosenberg Self-Esteem Scale, Unconditional Self-Acceptance Questionnaire, The Revised Internalized Homophobia Scale, Outness Inventory and evaluated the reaction received. The results show a significant negative relationship between internalized homonegativity and self-acceptance, but not with the level of outness, the reaction received, or the time since disclosure. The degree of disclosure is significantly predicted by the reaction received from colleagues, siblings, mother and strangers, recent acquaintances.
