Personas vietniekvārdu lietojums autobiogrāfijās

Abstract

Vietniekvārds ir svarīga gramatiska vienība, ko izmanto kā lietvārda aizstājēju, lai izvairītos no atkārtošanās. Šī darba mērķis ir noskaidrot, kādi personas vietniekvārdi ir visbiežāk sastopami paverdzināto afroamerikāņu autobiogrāfijās un izpētīt vietniekvārdu ieguldījumu nozīmes autobiogrāfijas konstruēšanā. Datu vākšanas rīki ir aptauja priekš angļu filoloģijas studentiem un Sketch Engine programmatūra frekvences skaitīšanai. Pētījuma tips ir vairāku gadījumu izpēte. Aptaujas rezultāti rāda, ka respondentu viedokļi dalījās- daļa no viņiem pievērš uzmanību personas vietniekvārdu lietojumam un šajā ziņā viņiem ir noteiktas vēlmes, savukārt citi, lasot autobiogrāfijas, nekoncentrējas uz vietniekvārdiem. Frekvences skaitīšanas rezultāti rāda, ka personas vietniekvārdi es, viņš un mēs tiek visbiežāk sastopami analizējamās autobiogrāfijās.

The pronoun is an important grammatical unit applied as a substitute for the noun to avoid repetition. The goal of the present paper is to determine the most frequent personal pronouns in autobiographies by enslaved Afro-Americans and analyse the contribution of pronoun use to the meaning construction there. The data collection tools are a questionnaire for the students of English philology and Sketch Engine for frequency count. The research type is a multiple case study. The results of the survey prove that the respondents' views were divided- part of them pay attention to the use of personal pronouns and have preferences in this regard, while others do not focus on the pronouns when reading autobiographies. The results on frequency count indicate that pronouns I, he and we occur most frequently in the autobiographies under analysis.
