Kā viens no izpētes avotiem ir izmantots Kristas Volfas darbs Kasandra , kurā autore apraksta sievietes-pareģes traģisko likteni un pārākumu par vīriešu dzimtes pārstāvjiem. Krista Volfa sava darba zemtekstā apslēpj politikso situāciju Vācijas Demokrātiskajā republikā 1980tajos gados , kā arī savas emocijas un pārdomas. Ancient Greek mythological creatures are used in modern literature to show interest to readers in prehistory. In this bachelor's thesis, the image of the ancient Greek woman-prophet Cassandra is explored and analysed in detail based on “Cassandra”, a novel by the German author Christa Wolf. Wolf's depiction of Cassandra is compared to the ones produced by ancient Greek authors. Christa Wolf describes the tragic fate and superiority of the female prophet over the male gender. In the subtext of her work, Christa Wolf describes the political situation in the German Democratic Republic in the 1980s, as well as her emotions and ideas connected to the situation.
