Bakalaura darbā “Bērnības svētku svinēšana Talsu novadā” pētīta Bērnības svētku gatavošanās un pasākuma norise, iesaistītās personas, viņu atmiņas un šīs tradīcijas nozīme Padomju Savienībā. Mērķis ir noskaidrot, kā notika Bērnības svētku svinēšana, un kāda bija svētku nozīme padomju laikā. Kā teorētiskā bāze izvēlēta pamatotā teorija, simboliskais interakcionisms, rituāla un ideoloģijas idejas. Pētījumā izmantota dokumentu un laikrakstu kontentanalīze, intervijas ar iesaistītajām personām palīdz uzzināt dalībnieku attieksmes un Bērnības svētku norisi. Noskaidrots, ka Bērnības svētki bija ikgadējs pasākums bērniem Padomju Savienībā, kas vienoja sabiedrību, noliedzot tradicionālos reliģiskos rituālus. In the Bachelor’s thesis “Celebration of Childhood in district Talsi” the study examines the process of how the Celebration of Childhood was planned and organised, involved people, their memories and the importance of this tradition in the Soviet Union. The aim of the bachelor’s thesis is to find out how the Celebration of Childhood took place and what the importance of celebration was in the Soviet time. For the theoretical basis selected the Grounded theory, the Symbolic interactionism, ritual and ideology ideas. The study uses document and newspaper content analysis and interviews with the involved people helps to understand their attitudes and how the Celebration of Childhood was organised. It has been revealed that Celebration of Childhood were an annual event for children in the Soviet Union that united society by denying traditional religious rituals.
