Diplomdarba tēma ir “Senioru dzīves kvalitātes uzlabošana ilgstošās sociālās aprūpes institūcijā.” Darba mērķis ir analizēt teorētisko sociālā darba bāzi, atklāt faktorus, kas rada dehumanizācijas riskus un raksturot dzīves kvalitāti aprūpes institūcijā. Pētījums atklāj, ka pastāv dehumanizācijas riski sociālās aprūpes institūcijā un ieviešot normalizācijas principus sociālās aprūpes institūciju darbībā ir iespēja paaugstināt senioru dzīves kvalitāti, nodrošinot veiksmīgu novecošanos. Empīriskā pētījuma veikšanai izvēlētas divas pētniecības pieejas: kvantitatīvā un kvalitatīvā. Pētījumā izmantotas jauktās pētījuma metodes, pie datu analīzes triangulējot pētījuma datus. The theme of the bachelor's thesis is “Life quality improvement for seniors in a long-term social care institutions”. The aim of research is to analyze the theoretical basis of social work, to reveal the factors that create risks of dehumanization and to describe the quality of life in a care institution. The study reveals that there are risks of dehumanization in social care institutions. Therefore it is very important to introduce the principles of normalization in the lives of seniors in order to ensure the opportunity to increase their quality of life, successful and dignified aging.. Two research methods have been chosen for the empirical research: quantitative and qualitative. The researcher uses mixed research approaches, triangulating the research data during data analysis.
