Aristoteļa nostāja jautājumos par laika esamību un esamības nosacījumiem nav viendabīga, tāpēc var šķist pretrunīga, ja to mēģina skaidrot vienkāršoti. Bakalaura darbā es skaidrošu laika ontoloģisko statusu, saglabājot tā neviendabību un pieņemot laika esamības trīsdaļīgu modeli. Es secīgi izpētīšu (i) trīs laika esamības nosacījumus (kustību, justspējīgo un domātspējīgo dvēseli); (ii) atšķirīgo laika atkarību iedabu (esenciālo, pamatojošo un eksistenciālo ontoloģiskās atkarības aspektu) un (iii) attiecīgajiem laika esamības nosacījumiem atbilstošos laika pastāvēšanas veidus (potenciālu, nepilnīgu un pilnīgu laika esamību), tādā veidā risinot vismaz vienu šķietamu pretrunu Aristoteļa laika koncepcijā, t.i., salāgojot Aristoteļa tēzi, ka laiku uztver dzīvnieki, ar laika atkarību no domātspējas, kas izriet no laika definīcijas. Aristotle's position on questions regarding the existence of time and the conditions for its existence isn't homogenous. For this reason it might seem self-contradictory, if one tries to explain it in a simplifying manner. In my thesis I will explain the ontological status of time without giving up its heterogeneity. Following the threefold model of the existence of time I will analyze in turn (i) the three conditions of existence of time (movement, perceptual and intellectual soul); (ii) the different natures of the dependences of time (the essential, grounding and existential aspect of ontological dependence); (iii) the three modes of existence of time corresponding to the three conditions for existence (potential, imperfect and perfect existence of time) thus solving at least one seeming contradiction in the works of Aristotle, i.e., by combining Aristotle's thesis that animals are able to perceive time, with the view that time depends on intelligence which follows the definition of time.
