Izglītības iestāžu vadītāju angļu valodas prasmes kā profesionālā kapitāla resurss dzīves kvalitātes kontekstā

Promocijas darba mērķis - izpētīt izglītības iestāžu vadītāju angļu valodas prasmju un profesionālā kapitāla mijsakarības dzīves kvalitātes kontekstā. Dati apkopoti un apstrādāti, izmantojot secīgi izskaidrojošo jauktā pētījuma dizainu. Pētījuma populācija ir Latvijas vispārējo, profesionālo, augstāko un speciālo izglītības iestāžu vadītāji (n=191). Secināts, ka, lai gan lielākā daļa respondentu apzinās angļu valodas prasmju un dzīves kvalitātes korelāciju, angļu valodas prasmju potenciāls netiek pilnībā izmantots un transformēts no profesionālā kapitāla elementa resursā nepietiekamo angļu valodas prasmju dēļ. The data were collected and processed using a sequentially explanatory mixed-method research design. The population of the study are the managers of Latvian general, vocational, special and higher education institutions (n=191). The conclusion can be drawn that although the majority of the respondents were aware of the correlation between the English language skills and the quality of life, the potential of the English language skills was not fully exploited and transformed from a professional capital element to a resource due to insufficient English language skills.
