Maģistra darbā tiek vērsta uzmanība uz VDAR ietverto noteikumu eksteritoriālā rakstura radīto problemātiku. Darba mērķis ir identificēt un izzināt VDAR ietvertos tiesību instrumentus, kas pieļauj to attiecināšanu uz trešo valstu tiesību subjektiem, vai rada eksteritoriālu efektu attiecībā uz tiem. Tāpat darbā veltīta uzmanība atsevišķu VDAR iekļauto tiesību instrumentu piemērošanas attiecībā uz trešo valstu tiesību subjektiem metodoloģijai, tās satura izpratnei un uzlabošanai. Pētījuma rezultātā, autors ir skaidri identificējis VDAR iekļautos tiesību instrumentus, kas piemērojami trešo valstu tiesību subjektiem ievērojot un pieturoties pie to stingras piemērošanas metodoloģijas. Tāpat ir noskaidrota iepriekšminēto tiesību instrumentu savstarpējā mijiedarbība un to piemērošanas īpatnības. This research focuses on the challenges arising from the extraterritorial nature of GDPR rules. The aim of the research is to identify, as well as to explore the legal instruments foreseen in the GDPR which allow them to be extended to third country legal entities or give rise to extraterritorial effect on them. The research also draws attention on the comprehension and improving of the methodology of application of the aforementioned legal instruments concerning third country legal entities. As a result of the research, the author has clearly identified the legal instruments set out in the GDPR, which are applicable to third country legal entities by following strict methodology. The interaction between the above mentioned legal instruments and peculiarity of their application has also been clarified.
