Bakalaura darba tēma ir politiski nozīmīgas personas normatīvā regulējuma analīze. Darba mērķis ir salīdzināt dažādu valstu politiski nozīmīgas personas definīciju ar Latvijas noziedzīgi iegūtu līdzekļu legalizācijas likumā norādīto definīciju, konstatēt būtiskākās atšķirības un izteikt priekšlikumus definīcijas pilnveidošanai izmantojot ārvalstu praksi, kā arī salīdzināt Finanšu darījumu darba grupas (FATF) ziņojumus par valstu normatīvo aktu atbilstību FATF 12. rekomendācijai. Darbā analizēti galvenie normatīvie akti, kas regulē politiski nozīmīgas personas Latvijas, Eiropas Savienības un starptautiskā līmenī. Secināts, ka efektīvākais risinājums normatīvā regulējuma uzlabošanai ir FKTK noteikumi, kur būtu iespējams iekļaut plašāku PNP amatu un starptautisko organizāciju, to institūciju uzskaitījumu, kā arī secināts, ka PNP ģimenes locekļa definīciju iespējams sašaurināt neietekmējot FATF 12.rekomendācijas novērtējumu. The topic of the bachelor's thesis is the analysis of legal framework of a politically exposed person. The aim of the work is to compare definition of a politically exposed person in different countries with the definition in the Latvian Money Laundering Law, to identify the main differences and make suggestions for improving the definition considering foreign practice, as well as to compare FATF reports regarding compliance of national laws to FATF 12.recommendation which sets specific requirements regarding legal framework of politically exposed persons. The main regulations of politically significant persons at the Latvian, European Union and international level are analyzed in the work and the most effective solution for improving the regulatory framework are FCMC regulations, where it would be possible to include a broader list of positions that matches definition of PEP, list of international organizations, their institutions, as well definition of PEP family member can be narrowed without affecting the assessment of FATF Recommendation 12.
