Pēdējo gadu laikā uzmanība pastiprināti tiek pievērsta NEET jauniešiem jeb tiem, kas nav iesaistījušies ne izglītībā, apmācībās, ne arī nodarbinātībā. Šāds jauniešu statuss sabiedrībā veicina bezdarba līmeņa paaugstināšanos un svarīga cilvēkkapitāla zaudēšanu. Darba mērķis ir iepazīties ar esošo situāciju jauniešu vidū, veikt jauniešu bezdarba un NEET rādītāju analīzi, balstoties uz ekonometriskajiem modeļiem, novērtēt šos statusu ietekmējošos sociāli-ekonomisko faktorus. Darbs sastāv no 3 daļām. Pirmajā daļā aplūkota aktuālā NEET problēma, darba tirgus iznākumu ietekmējošie faktori, otrajā veikta ekonomiskās aktivitātes rādītāju analīze jauniešu vidū un trešajā izstrādāti jauniešu bezdarba un NEET statusa ekonometriskie modeļi. In recent years, there has been an increased focus on NEET young people - those who are not in education, training or employment - as this status of young people in society contributes to rising unemployment and the loss of important human capital. The aim of the work is to present the current situation among young people, to analyse youth unemployment and NEET rates and, based on econometric models, to assess the socio-economic factors affecting this status. The work consists of three chapters. The first chapter describes the current NEET problem, the factors influencing the labour market outcomes. The second chapter analyses the economic activity rates among youth. And the third chapter develops econometric models of youth unemployment and NEET status.
