Dumbrcāļa (Rallus aquaticus) un mazā ormanīša (Zapornia parva) sastopamības noteicošie faktori Kaņiera ezerā

Abstract

Mazais ormanītis un dumbrcālis ir grūti konstatējamas sugas, jo apdzīvo mitrājus un ir aktīvas diennakts tumšākajā laikā, tāpēc šo sugu populāciju lielumi ir grūti novērtējami un to ekoloģija Latvijā ir maz pētīta. Darba ietvaros Kaņiera ezers tika apmeklēts laikā no maija līdz jūlijam. Dumbrcāļu un mazā ormanīša uzskaites tika veiktas no 36 nejauši atliktiem punktiem ezerā. Pētījuma laikā tika apmeklēti punkti līdz divām reizēm ligzdošanas sezonas laikā. Šī pētījuma mērķa sugas uzskaišu laikā tika provocētas ar savas sugas balss ierakstiem. Katra uzskaišu punkta apkārtnē 150 metru rādiusā tika aprakstīta veģetācijas un atklāta ūdens konfigurācija, veģetācijas kompaktums un platības īpatsvars sugām, kas veido vienlaidus augāju, kā arī augu sugu sastāvu un ūdens dziļumu noteiktās vietās uzskaišu punktu apkārtnē. Šajā pētījumā 10 punktos tika novēroti 14 dumbrcāļu un piecos punktos septiņi mazo ormanīšu indivīdi. Lai noskaidrotu sugas sastopamību noteicošos faktorus, tika veidoti hierarhiskie latentā mainīgā teritoriju aizņemtības modeļi (dumbrcālim) un vispārinātie lineārie modeļi (mazajam ormanītim). Saskaņā ar katras sugas labāko modeli dumbrcālis izvēlas mozaīkveida dzīvotnes un niedrājus ar jauktu veģetāciju, bet mazajam ormanītim būtisks ekoloģiskais faktors Kaņiera ezerā ir aslapes, nevis, kā tika sagaidīts, vilkvālītes. Dumbrcāļa konstatējamību negatīvi ietekmēja varžu koris uzskaites laikā.

The little crake and the water rail are difficult species to detect because they inhabit wetlands and are active during the darkest hours of the day, therefore the size of populations of these species is difficult to assess and their ecology has been little studied in Latvia. As part of the work, Lake Kaņieris was visited between May and July. Records of water rails and the little crake were made from 36 randomly postponed points in the lake. In the study, each point was visited up to two times during the nesting season. The target species in this study were provoked by voice recordings of their own species during the surveys. In the vicinity of each survey point, within a radius of 150 meters, the configuration of vegetation and open water, the compactness of vegetation and the proportion of area for species that form continuous vegetation, as well as the composition of plant species and the depth of water in certain places around the points of view were described. In this study, 14 water rails were observed at 10 points and seven individuals of the little crake were observed in five points. In order to find out the factors determining the occurrence of the species, hierarchical patterns of busyness of latent variable areas (for the water rail) and generalized linear models (for the little crake) were formed. According to the best model of each species, the moth chooses mosaic habitats and reeds with mixed vegetation, but for the little crake an essential ecological factor in Lake Kaņieris is sawgrass and not, as expected, cattails. The detection of water rail was negatively influenced by the frog choir at the time of registration.
