Bakalaura darba mērķis ir noskaidrot, cik efektīva ir sējas kaņepes (Cannabis sativa L.) izmantošana piesārņotu vietu rekultivācijā, pētot ķīmisko elementu uzkrāšanās raksturu šajā augā, kas audzēts dzelzceļam pieguļošās teritorijās Vecumnieku pagastā Nowadays, manufacturing and industry are growing, because of increasing numbers of people, which is inevitably causing pollution. Therefore, the issue of remediation of contaminated sites is becoming more and more pressing, because in this era of technology people pay more attention to the environment and its quality, knowing how important it is to keep it for future generations. It is important to choose the right pollution treatment methods, to avoid further damage to the environment and the method must be effective and sustainable. Although different methods for remediation of contaminated sites have been developed, it is the biological– phytoremediation – methods that are one of the most promising, because this method does not create additional pollution and helps to preserve and even improve the natural landscape. The aim is to find out how effective it is the use of industrial hemp (Cannabis sativa L.) in the remediation of contaminated sites, studying characteristics of accumulation of chemical elements in this plant from the close areas of the railway in the Vecumnieki parish.
