Elīzija Eda Šīrana izpildītajās dziesmās

Abstract

Elīzija ir skaņas dzēšana ar mērķi atvieglot saziņu. Šis process tika pārbaudīts, klausoties un salīdzinot dziesmas standarta britu angļu valodā, Eda Šīrana (Ed Sheeran) izpildījumā divos atšķirīgos laika posmos. Darba mērķis - noskaidrot, ar elīziju saistītās izrunas īpatnības, vai tās ir mainījušās un izpētīt vai dziesmu žanrs ietekmē elīziju. Pētījuma dati tika iegūti izmantojot teorētiski salīdzinošo analīzi kā arī auditīvo metodi datu iegūšanai. Pētījuma rezultāti atklāja, ka dziedātāja runas veidā ir novērojamas dažas izmaiņas, tomēr galvenie modeļi, piemēram, /t d/ skaņu izslēgšana un /tt/ un /rr/ samazināšana, ir konsekventa visās izvēlētajās dziesmās abos analizētajos laika periodos. Turklāt tika pamanīts, ka ātrākas dziesmas satur vairāk elīzijas gadījumu nekā lēnākas.

Elision is the deletion of a sound to make communication easier. This process was examined by listening to and comparing songs from two time periods in General British English performed by Ed Sheeran. The goal was to see whether the use of elision has changed over the years and to examine the genre's influence on the potential cases of elision. This was achieved by applying comparative analysis of theory, and auditory analysis to obtain data. The results of the research revealed that while the singer does have some deviancies in his manner of speech, the main patterns, such as eliding /t d/ sounds and reducing /tt/ and /rr/ were consistent throughout all the chosen songs despite the year. Additionally, it was noticed that songs of a faster genre contain more cases of elision than the slower genre.
