Komata lietojums tiešsaistes laikrakstu rakstos

Abstract

Interpunkcijas zīmes ir ļoti sarežģīta tēma, taču analīzei tiek izmantota tikai viena konkrēta interpunkcijas zīme − komats, kas tiek uzskatīts par svarīgu interpunkcijas zīmi. Pētījuma mērķis ir izpētīt komata lietojumu tiešsaistes laikrakstu rakstos. Pētījuma metodes ir teorētisko avotu par žanriem, digitālajiem žanriem, tiešsaistes avīzēm un avīžu rakstiem salīdzinošā un kritiskā analīze, kā arī diskursa analīze empīriskā daļā. Divdesmit tiešsaistes laikrakstu rakstu analīze liecina, ka komats saliktos pakārtotos teikumos visbiežāk sastopams laikrakstā The Independent: deviņdesmit deviņas reizes un laikrakstā USA Today: septiņdesmit astoņas reizes. Izvēlētajos tiešsaistes laikrakstu rakstos atklātas desmit atšķirības komata lietojumā. Komata lietojums ir atkarīgs no laikrakstu rakstu autora, nevis no paša laikraksta vai tā domēna.

Punctuation marks is a very complicated topic, but only one specific punctuation mark is chosen for the analysis – a comma, which is considered an important punctuation mark. The purpose of the research is to explore the use of a comma in online newspaper articles. The research methods are comparative and critical analysis of the theoretical sources on genres, digital genres, online newspapers, and newspaper articles, and discourse analysis in the empirical part. The analysis of twenty online newspaper articles shows that a comma in complex sentences occurs most frequently in The Independent: ninety-nine times and in USA Today: seventy-eight times. Ten differences in comma usage are discovered in the chosen online newspaper articles. The use of a comma depends on the author of newspaper articles, not on the newspaper itself or its domain.
