Pētījuma nosaukums ir "Rietumu sabiedrības krīze Mišela Velbeka romānos "Karalauka paplašināšana" un "Pakļaušanās"". Pētījuma mērķis ir parādīt, kā autors savos divos darbos atspoguļo Rietumu sabiedrības krīzi. Tādējādi darbs tiek veikts pēc šāda plāna: 1) izpētiīt un aprakstīt teorētisko bāzi par krīzi, 2) prezentēt autoru un viņa divus izvēlētos romānus, 3) izpētīt un aprakstīt romānu galvenos varoņus, 4) izpētīt un aprakstīt romānus struktūru, 5) izpētīt un analizēt romānus semantiskās laukas, 6) izdarīt secinājumus. Galvenais secinājums: Mišels Velbeks parāda Rietumu sabiedrības krīzi caur galveno varoņu stāju, tēmām caur semantiskiem laukiem un romānus struktūru. The title of the tesis is "The crisis of Western society in the novels "Whatever" and "Submission" by Michel Houellebecq". The purpose of this work is to show how the author represents the crisis of Western society in both of his novels. Thus the work follows the following plan: 1) to describe the theoretical basis on the crisis, 2) to present the author and his two chosen works, 3) to study and describe the narrators of both novels, 4) to study and describe the structure of both novels 5) to study and analyze the semantic fields of both novels, 6) draw conclusions. The main conclusion: Michel Houellebecq shows the crisis of Western society through the posture of the narrator, the themes through the lexical fields, and the structure of the novels.
