Šis maģistra darbs ir veltīts Spānijas, Francijas un Latvijas Valsts vadītāju Ziemassvētku un Jaungada uzrunu retorikas analīzei pandēmijas laikā. Darbā izvirzītais mērķis ir izmantot klasisko retoriku, kas papildināta ar diskursīvās analīzes teoriju, lai analizētu sešas Ziemassvētku uzrunas un noskaidrotu, vai tajās ir redzamas vienotas tendences uzbūvē, leksikā un nolūkā. Darba gaitā mērķis ir sasniegts. Teorētiskās daļas pamatā ir retorikas klasiķu pieeja retorikas uzdevumu definēšanā, kā arī mūslaiku autoru pieeja diskursa analīzē, kur autore ir pētījusi kopsakarības. Praktiskajā daļā ir analizētas sešas uzrunas - trīs valstu vadītāju uzrunas 2020. gada nogalē un trīs - 2021. gada svētkos. Darba noslēgumā tiek aprakstītas kopīgās un atšķirīgās iezīmes minētajās uzrunās. This master's thesis is dedicated to the rhetorical analysis of the Christmas speeches of the Heads of State of Spain, France and Latvia in times of pandemic. The objective of the work is to use the updated classical rhetoric through the theory of discursive analysis for the analysis of six Christmas speeches and to discover if these speeches present a remarkable unity in terms of their composition, lexicon and intention. Throughout our work, the objective has been achieved. The theoretical part is based on the definition of rhetorical operations formulated by the classics of rhetoric, which is complemented by current developments in the field of discourse analysis. In the practical part, six speeches are analyzed - three speeches by the heads of state at the end of 2020 and those corresponding to the year 2021. In conclusion, the common characteristics in these speeches are highlighted, but also their differences.
