Bakalaura darba Īsziņu valodas īpatnības mērķis ir raksturot īsziņu valodas īpatnības: izteikumu struktūru, emocijzīmes, ortogrāfijas īpatnības un atkāpes no literārās valodas normām. Ir sniegta informācija par īsziņu vēsturi, tehniskajām iespējām un par īsziņām mūsdienās, aplūkoti gan konsituatīvi saistīti, gan nesaistīti teikumi, tiek analizēta emocijzīmju struktūra un mijiedarbība ar tekstu, apskatīta saīsinājumu veidošana un citas ortogrāfijas īpatnības, aplūkotas atkāpes no literārās valodas normām leksikā un gramatikā. Īsziņu valoda ir interesanta ar to, ka tajā parādās gan runātās, gan rakstītās valodas pazīmes. The research goal of the bachelor’s thesis Linguistic features of text messages is to describe the peculiarities of the text message language: the structure of utterances, emoticons, orthographic peculiarities and deviations from the norms of literary language. Information is provided on the history and technical possibilities of text messaging and on text messaging today, covering both conjunctive and disjunctive sentences, the structure of emoticons and their interaction with the text is analysed, abbreviations and other orthographic features are discussed, and departures from literary norms in vocabulary and grammar. Text message language is interesting because it shows features of both – spoken and written language.
