The Master thesis is written in Latvian on 41 pages. It contains 17 images, 57 references to literature sources. The aim of the study was to evaluate the level of discomfort glare in low light conditions, depending on the iris pigmentation of the eye and the method used. As a result, it was concluded that 50 % of the participants perceive glare while driving in the dark, which indicates that glare is a significant problem for many people. When observing discomfort glare with the constant stimulus method, participants with blue eyes experience strong glare at 109 ± 24 cd/m2, while with brown eyes at 143 ± 10 cd/m2, which indicates greater subjective glare for people with light iris pigmentation. The difference observed between the groups in the study is statistically significant. When performing subjective glare measurements with the constant stimulus method, participants experience discomfort at significantly higher screen brightness values than with the adjustment stimulus method. Due to the low correlation coefficient between the methods, the results of the methods are not comparable.
