Atsaukšana un conteksts karjeras specifiska vārdu krājuma mācīšanai vidusskolas angļu valodas stundās

Abstract

Mūsdienās pateicoties globalizācijai angļu valoda kļūst aizvien svarīgāka lai spētu pilnībā piedalīties mācību un darba vidē. Šajās vidēs personām vajadzētu zināt ne tikai atbilstošu daudzumu angļu valodas ikdienas saziņai, bet arī izmantot vārdu krājumu, kas ir specifisks dotajai nozarei. Daži no veidiem kā efektīvāk mācīt vārdu krājumu ir atsaukšana un konteksta pavedieni. Diplomdarba mērķis bija izpētīt atsaukšanas un konteksta efektivitāti un karjerai specificēta vārdu krājuma svarīgumu skolēniem. Par pētījuma metodi tika izvēlēts atsevišķa gadījuma pētījums, kura laikā tika veikti praktiski uzdevumi un tika secināts, ka lai gan atsaukšana un konteksta pavedieni var būt efektīvas metodes kajeras centrēta vārdu krājuma mācīšanai, skolēnu personīgā sasaiste un baudījums neietekmēja rezultātus.

Nowadays thanks to globalisation English is becoming more necessary to know to be able to fully participate in study and work environment. In these environments people should not only know the appropriate amount of English for everyday communication but also be able to use vocabulary that is specific to the given field. Some of the ways to teach vocabulary more effectively is recall and context clues. The aim of the Diploma Paper was to explore the effectiveness of recall and context and the importance of career specific vocabulary for students. A case study was chosen as the method of research during which practical tasks were carried out and it was concluded that while recall and context clues can be effective methods to teach career centred vocabulary students’ personal connections and enjoyment do not affect the results.
