Bibliotēku vizuālā identitāte Ziemeļeiropā

Abstract

Diplomdarbā “Bibliotēku vizuālā identitāte Ziemeļeiropā” tiek pētītas Ziemeļeiropas bibliotēku vizuālo identitāšu kopīgās un atšķirīgās iezīmes. Diplomdarba mērķis ir izveidot vizuālo identitāti Alūksnes novada bibliotēkai. Darba teorētiskajā daļā tiek apkopota informācija par vizuālo identitāti, to veidojošajiem pamatelementiem un bibliotēku vizuālo tēlu 21. gadsimtā. Balstoties uz darba teorētiskās daļas secinājumiem, darba empīriskajā daļā analizētas 20 Ziemeļeiropas bibliotēku vizuālās identitātes. Pēc analizēs tiek secināts, ka to galvenās kopīgās iezīmes ir, pirmkārt, logotipi, kuru grafiskās zīmes saistītas ar grāmatu, vai dotās bibliotēkas ēku, un, otrkārt, bezserifu burtveidolu lietojums. Kā atšķirīgais tiek konstatēts krāsu lietojums, jo nebija novērojams, ka kādai no krāsām vai to kombinācijām Ziemeļeiropas bibliotēku vizuālajās identitātēs tiktu dota priekšroka. Balstoties uz darba teorētiskās un empīriskās daļas secinājumiem, darba radošajā daļā izstrādāta vizuālā identitāte Alūksnes novada bibliotēkai.

"The Visual Identity of Libraries in Northern Europe" explores the visual identities of libraries in Northern Europe and determines the common features as well as analyzes the main differences. The aim of the research is to aid in the creation of visual identity for the municipal library of Alūksne. The theoretical portion of the thesis summarizes information on visual identities in general, their elements and the visual identities of libraries in the 21st century. Basing on the conclusions of the theoretical part of the work, the empirical part of the work analyzes the visual identities of 20 libraries in Northern Europe. The analysis concludes that their main common features are, firstly, the use of logos associated with a book or the building the library and, secondly, the use of sans-serif fonts. The color palette of Northern European library visual identities was found to be the main difference, as no color or combination of colors was observed the be preferred. Based on the conclusions of the theoretical and empirical part of the work, a visual identity for the municipal library of Alūksne has been developed in the creative part of the work.
