Darbs sastāv no 75 lappusēm, tsk. 17 tabulas, 35 attēli, 6 pielikumi. Izmantoti 45 informācijas avoti. Bachelor thesis author:Evija Cirvele Bachelor thesis topic: "Promoting the speech development of 5/6 year olds through musical play". Aim: To theoretically and practically explore the possibilities of speech development of 5/6 year old children in the process of musical play in pre-school. The first chapter of the thesis describes the pedagogical and psychological foundations of children's speech development. The distinction between the concepts of speech and language is analysed, and the peculiarities of speech development in 5/6-year-old children are described. The review and analysis of the scientific literature leads to the conclusion that language is a system of signs, whereas speech and the speech process are the way in which language is expressed. The development of children's speech can be promoted through successful music and speech therapy sessions, cooperation with group teachers and the inclusion of musical games in the children's daily routine. Chapter two summarises and describes the types of musical play and the theoretical findings on the role of musical play in children's speech development. The thesis describes an empirical study in which observation was chosen as the research method. Five musical games are selected and described, and specific criteria are set in order to enable the observation process to analyse whether musical games contribute to children's speech development. The hypothesis is that regular use of a variety of purposefully selected musical games promotes children's speech development. Key words: Musical play, speech development, cooperation, education. The thesis consists of 75 pages, including 17 tables, 35 figures, 6 annexes. 45 sources of information used.
