Motivācijas, personības iezīmju un kompetences izjūtas saistības audžumātēm

Abstract

Pētījuma mērķis bija noskaidrot, kādas savstarpējās saistības pastāv starp motivāciju, personības iezīmēm un vecāku kompetences izjūtu un kādi ir visbiežāk minētie kļūšanas par audžumāti motivācijas iemesli. Pētījumā piedalījās 60 respondentes vecumā no 32 līdz 72 gadiem. Pētījuma dalībnieces aizpildīja Vecāku kompetences izjūtas skalu (Parenting sense of competence scale, Johnston & Mash, 1989), aptauju „Lielais Piecinieks” (Big Five Inventory, Benet –Martinez & John, 1998) un Audžuvecāku motivācijas aptauju (Questionnaire of reasons for fostering; Rhodes, Cox, Orme, Coakley, Buehler, et al., 2006). Pētījuma rezultāti uzrādīja statistiski nozīmīgu pozitīvu saistību starp vecāku kompetences izjūtas un personības iezīmju atvērtības, apzinīguma, labvēlīguma un ekstraversijas skalu mainīgajiem, starp vecāku kompetences izjūtas apakšskalas apmierinātība un personības iezīmju atvērtības, apzinīguma un ekstraversijas, kā arī efektivitātes apakšskalas un personības iezīmju apzinīguma un labvēlīguma skalu mainīgajiem. Tika konstatēta statistiski nozīmīga negatīva saistība starp personības iezīmju skalas neirotisma un kopējiem vecāku kompetences izjūtas un apmierinātības apakšskalas mainīgajiem.Tika novērota statistiski nozīmīga vāja pozitīva saistība starp motivācijas un personības iezīmju ekstraversijas skalas mainīgajiem. Korelāciju analīzes rezultāti norāda, ka nepastāv statististiski nozīmīgas saistības starp motivācijas un vecāku kompetences izjūtas mainīgajiem šajā audžumāšu izlasē. Kā biežāk minētie motivācijas apgalvojumi audžumātēm, tika minēti uz bērnu vērsti apgalvojumi.

The aim of the study was to find out what are the relationships between motivation, personality traits and parents' sense of competence, and what are the most frequently mentioned reasons for motivation for foster mothers. The selection of the study consisted of 60 respondents aged 32 to 72 years. Study participants completed the Parenting sense of competence scale, the Big Five Inventory (BFI), and the Questionnaire of reasons for fostering. The results of the study showed a statistically significant positive relationship between the parental competence and personality traits openness, conscientiousness, favorability and extraversion scale variables, between the parental competence sub-scale satisfaction and the personality openness, conscientiousness and extraversion, and efficiency sub-scale and personality trait conscientiousness and variables. A statistically significant negative correlation was found between the variables of the personality trait scale neuroticism and total parental competence and satisfaction subscale. A statistically significant weak positive correlation was observed between the variables of the motivation and personality trait extraversion scale. The results of the correlation analysis indicate that there is no statistically significant relationship between the variables of motivation and parental competence in this sample of foster mothers. Child-centered statements were mentioned as the most frequently mentioned motivational statements for foster mothers.
