Nebinārās dzimtes un netradicionālu seksuālo orientāciju cilvēku reprezentācija Netflix seriālā “Heartstopper”

Abstract

Bakalaura darba tēma ir “Nebinārās dzimtes un netradicionālu seksuālo orientāciju cilvēku reprezentācija Netflix seriālā "Heartstopper"”. Darba mērķis ir noskaidrot ko jaunieši domā par cilvēkiem ar netradicionālu dzimti vai seksuālo orientāciju, vai netradicionālo varoņu (transpersonas, nebināras personas, personas ar netradicionālu seksuālo orientāciju utt.) esamība medijos ietekmē jauniešu domas par šādiem cilvēkiem, un ko jaunieši par šādiem seriāliem ar netradicionāliem varoņiem domā. Darba teorijas daļa tiek apskatītas teorijas par dzimti, dzimumu un seksuālo orientāciju, kā arī par šādu cilvēku attēlojumu medijos un populārajā kultūrā. Pētījumā analizētas astoņas Netflix seriāla “Heartstopper” sērijas izmantojot naratīva aktantu modeli, kā arī veiktas trīs fokusgrupas intervijas.

The topic of the bachelor thesis is " Represenatation of Non-Binary Gender and Non-Traditional Sexual Orientation People in Netflix’s “Heartstopper”". The aim of the work is to find out what young people think about people with non-traditional gender or sexual orientation, whether the existence of non-traditional characters (transgender, non-binary people, people with non-traditional sexual orientation, etc.) in the media affects the thoughts of young people about such people, and what young people think about such series with non-traditional characters. The theory part of the work examines theories about sex, gender and sexual orientation, as well as about the representation of such people in the media and popular culture. The study analyzes eight episodes of Netflix’s series "Heartstopper" using narrative analysis, based on the actantial model, as well as were conducted three focus group interviews.
