The domestic horse is forced to live in an artificially created and often unfavorable environment. The aim of the work is to study the influence of musical stimuli on 15 stable and 20 free-living domestic horses and to evaluate the empirical application of these stimuli. Animal behavior has been estimated by a multifactorial ethogram. The heart rate and respiratory rate of animals with and without stimulus have been recorded in a table. The performance of the study shows that the resulting ethogram corresponds to the behavior of the species. Rock music excites animals, reduces appetite, speeds up breathing and heartbeat. Classical music calms animals, stimulates appetite, slows breathing and heartbeat. The results obtained can become the basis for the deliberate use of music for short-term correction of the horse’s behavior.
