Long-term effects of the extremely low - frequency electromagnetic radiation (50 Hz, 500 µT) on the Drosophila melanogaster. The aim of the study was to determine the long – term impact of extremely low - frequency (50 Hz, 500 µT) electromagnetic field (LF-EMF) on reproductive, biochemical and locomotional and genetical parameters of model organism Drosophila melanogaster. In the molecular part of the work, PCR reactions and sequencing of PCR products were performed, as well as a catalase test, thus evaluating the LF-EMF as one of the possible factor which causes an oxidative stress. Sequencing results of promoter and intron part of the PHGPx1 gene showed some nucleotide substitutions.
