The aim of the bachelor's thesis entitled “Student traveling habits abroad: experiences of generation Z” is to study international traveling habits of generation Z students. Generation Z is currently the youngest generation that independently engages in the tourism market. Each generation has its own characteristics and traits that create each group of tourists. The wishes, ideas and habits of the younger tourists are different from previous generations. For the successful development of tourism, it is important to be aware of these generational changes in order to be able to adapt to them. Using the questionnaire method, students at the University of Latvia were questioned. Analysing the answers of the students, it was found that students prefer to travel with family or friends, and a large number of students finance the trips themselves. Generation Z students travel on a budget, they are curious and enjoy active lifestyle in nature. Most of the students have visited Lithuania and Estonia, as well as Poland, Sweden, and Germany. In the future, students want to visit Japan, New Zealand, and Iceland. The volume of the bachelor thesis is 45 pages and consists of 4 chapters. It contains 2 tables, 16 images and 1 appendix.
