Ortodontijas pakalpojumu pieejamība Latvijā

Abstract

Nepareizu sakodienu izraisa vairāki faktori, tostarp ģenētika, vides faktori, sociālie ieradumi un uzturs. Interceptīvā ortodontija ir paredzēta, lai novērstu vai samazinātu nepieciešamību pēc turpmākas sarežģītas ortodontiskas ārstēšanas. Kaitīgo ieradumu agrīna atklāšana ir svarīga, lai novērstu sakodiena traucējumus un sejas-žokļu deformācijas. Darba mērķis ir noskaidrot ortodontisko pakalpojumu pieejamību un to, vai zobārsti ir gatavi un vēlas uzņemties veikt agrīno ortodonisko ārstēšanu.

Malocclusion is caused by multiple factors, including genetics, environmental factors, social characteristics, and diet. Interceptive orthodontics is intended to eliminate or reduce the need for further complex orthodontic treatment. The early interception of deleterious oral habits is crucial in order to prevent occlusal disturbances and dentofacial malformations. The aim of this thesis is to find the availability of orthodontic services and whether general dental practitioners are prepared and desire to undertake early orthodontic treatments.
