Pētījuma tēma ir “Nefarmakoloģisko metožu pielietojums delīrija profilaksei intensīvās terapijas nodaļā”. Delīrijs ir bieža komplikācija kritiski slimu pacientu vidū, un intensīvās terapijas nodaļā tas var pārsniegt 80%. Profilaktiskie pasākumi ieņem nozīmīgu lomu delīrija gadījumu skaita samazināšanā, un zinātniskie pētījumi uzrāda nefarmakoloģisko metožu pielietošanas efektivitāti delīrija novēršanā. Pētījuma mērķis: izpētīt nefarmakoloģisko metožu pielietojumu delīrija profilaksei intensīvās terapijas nodaļā. Pētījuma uzdevumi: 1) apkopot un analizēt zinātnisko literatūru par nefarmakoloģisko metožu pielietojumu delīrija profilaksei intensīvās terapijas nodaļā, 2) analizēt Betijas Ņūmenas māszinību teoriju un tās saikni ar pētījuma tēmu, 3) izveidot pētījuma instrumentu – interviju un intervēt intensīvajā terapijā strādājošas māsas, 4) apkopot un analizēt pētījuma rezultātus, 5) balstoties uz iegūtajiem rezultātiem, izdarīt secinājumus un izstrādāt ieteikumus nefarmakoloģisko metožu pielietojumam delīrija profilaksei intensīvās terapijas nodaļā. Pētījuma jautājums: kāds ir nefarmakoloģisko metožu pielietojums delīrija profilaksei intensīvās terapijas nodaļā? Pētniecības metode: kvalitatīvs pētījums ar kontenta analīzi. Pētījuma instruments: daļēji strukturēta intervija. Pētījuma rezultāti uzrādīja, ka vairākas delīrija profilaksē rekomendējamās nefarmakoloģiskās metodes tiek pielietotas, bet bez skaidras izpratnes no māsu par to lomu un nozīmi delīrija profilaksē. Metožu pielietojuma kvalitāte ir limitēta gan māsas kontrolē esošu, gan māsas kontrolē neesošu faktoru dēļ. Vairākums māsu izteica vēlmiuzlabot delīrija profilakses pasākumus, ja būtu pieejama informācija un pētījumos balstītas vadlīnijas. Atslēgas vārdi: delīrijs, profilakse, nefarmakoloģiskās metodes, māsa, intensīvās terapijas nodaļa. The topic of the research is "Application of non-pharmacological methods for the prevention of delirium in the intensive care unit". Delirium is a common complication among critically ill patients and can exceed 80% in the ICU (intensive care unit). Preventive measures play an important role in reducing the number of cases of delirium, and scientific studies show the effectiveness of non-pharmacological methods in the prevention of delirium. The aim of the study: to research the use of non-pharmacological methods for the prevention of delirium in the ICU. Research tasks: 1) collect and analyse scientific literature on the use of non-pharmacological methods for the prevention of delirium in the ICU, 2) analyse Betty Newman's nursing theory and its connection to the topic of research, 3) create a research tool - an interview and conduct interviews with the nurses working in intensive care, 4) summarize and analyse the results of the research, 5) based on the obtained results, draw conclusions and develop recommendations for the use of non-pharmacological methods for the prevention of delirium in the ICU. Research question: How non-pharmacological methods are applied for the prevention of delirium in the ICU? Research method: qualitative research with content analysis. Research instrument: semi-structured interview. The results of the study showed that several non-pharmacological methods recommended in the prevention of delirium are used, but without a clear understanding from the nurses of their role and importance in the prevention of delirium. The quality of the application of the methods is limited due to factors both within the nurse's control and beyond the nurse's control. Many nurses expressed a desire to improve delirium prevention efforts providing the information and research-based guidelines were available. Key words: delirium, prevention, non-pharmacological methods, nurse, intensive care unit.
