The bachelor thesis topic is "Low-dose computed tomography screening of lung cancer- acquisition protocols and patient care." The importance of the subject lies in the fact that using low-dose computed tomography and scanning protocols, along with proper patient care, can significantly contribute to the early detection of lung cancer. This can lead to improved survival rates and lower mortality rates from the disease. Additionally, it can reduce radiation exposure, promote patient safety, and enhance the accuracy of diagnosis. This study aims to provide clear information on the use of low-dose chest computed tomography for diagnosing lung cancer, including recommendations, protocol differences, and feasibility. The study's objectives are to analyze the literature on normal anatomy and radiological anatomy of the chest, lung cancer, low-dose computed tomography options, patient care and protocols, summarise and analyze the results and draw conclusions. The study instruments used are available low-dose computed tomography protocols in the literature. A qualitative research method was applied. The bachelor thesis consists of 37 pages, 4 chapters, 10 subsections, 35 references and 5 appendices.
