Šis darbs veltīts kristiešu un jūdu moceklības jautājumiem grieķu – romiešu pasaulē laikā no 2.gs.p.m.ē. līdz 4.gs.m.ē. Darbam tika izvirzīts mērķis, salīdzinot kristiešu un jūdu sabiedrībās pastāvošos moceklības fenomenus, noteikt atšķirīgās un kopīgās iezīmes, kā arī ietekmi no jūdaisma moceklības kristīgajā moceklības fenomenā, tādējādi papildinot izpratni par grieķu-romiešu sabiedrības dažādu grupu uzskatu sistēmām, savstarpējajām attiecībām, konfliktiem un ietekmēm. Darba rezultātā ir nonākts pie secinājuma, ka jūdu un kristiešu moceklībai ir kopīga pamatideja par savas kopienas izredzētību un tās vērtību aizstāvēšanu, bet tomēr par spīti tam, ir atrodamas arī vairākas būtiskas atšķirības, piemēram, kiddush ha-shem jautājumā, kā arī tas, ka kristīgā un jūdu moceklība neklasificējas pēc vieniem kritērijiem. This work is devoted to the issues of Christian and Jewish martyrdom in the Greco- Roman world from the 2nd century BC. to the 4th century AD. The work has only set a goal, specifically the phenomena of martyrdom existing in Christian and Jewish society, which determine the different and common features, as well as influences from Jewish martyrdom in the Christian martyrdom phenomenon, which complements the understanding of the belief system, mutual relations, conflicts and influences of various groups in Greco-Roman society. The descent of the work has come to the conclusion that the Jewish martyrdom shares the basic idea of the choice of the community and the defense of its values, but despite this, several important differences are also found, such as the problem of kiddush ha-shem, as well as the fact that the Christian and Jewish martyrdom is not specified according to one criteria.
