Latvijas parlamenta lielākās partijas dominētā sociāldemokrātu frakcija pārstāvēja vienu no radikālākajiem agrārās reformas risinājumiem. Vācbaltiešu minoritātes un bijušo muižnieku intereses pārstāvošā partija iestājās par pilnīgi pretēju – daudz pielaidīgāku – reformas modeli. Rezultātā pieņemtā reforma, kas kļuva par vienu no Latvijas Republikas pamatiem, ir šajā pētījumā apskatītās polemikas rezultāts The bachelor's thesis "Polemic between Baltic Germans and social democrats on the agrarian reform in the Latvian Parliament (1920-1934)" explains the clash of views of the social democrat faction and the Baltic German faction in the Constituent Assembly of the Republic of Latvia and first four convocations of the Saeima on how best to implement the agrarian reform (1920-1927). The social democrat faction dominated by the largest party in the Latvian parliament represented one of the most radical solutions to agrarian reform. The party representing the interests of the Baltic German minority and former big landowners advocated a completely opposite – much more tolerant – model of reform. As a result, the adopted reform, which became one of the foundations of the Republic of Latvia, is the result of the polemic discussed in this thesis.
