Reduced physical activity has a negative impact on the quality of life and survival of schizophrenia patients, and increases cardiovascular risk (CVR). The aim of the study is to assess physical activity and CVR in patients with schizophrenia. In the study, the opinion of the respondents on physical activities was clarified and the participants' physical activity, anthropometric parameters and CVR were evaluated. The work has evaluated whether the participants' physical activities show a connection with CVR. Recommendations for physical activity and reduction of CVR are provided. From the results of the study, it can be concluded that the study participants do not have sufficient understanding of their physical activities and CVR. As the physical activity of the study participants decreases, the overall CVR increases and at least 80% of the participants who have a high or very high probability of a cardiovascular event in the next 10 years are at such risk. There is a need for greater involvement of physical activity specialists in providing physical activities for schizophrenia patients.
