Angļu prievārdu lietojuma tiešsaistes laikrakstu rakstos salīdzinošā analīze

Prievārdi ir jebkura rakstiska teksta neatņemama sastāvdaļa, jo tie pauž attiecības starp vienībām. Šī pētījuma mērķis ir noskaidrot angļu valodas prievārdu lietojumu tiešsaistes laikrakstos rakstos un izmantotā metode ir salīdzinošā analīze. Tika pētīta prievārdu morfoloģiskā struktūra un semantiskā izmantošana. Analizējot divdesmit rakstus no The Guardian un The Independent, atklājās, ka The Guardian izmantoja vairāk vietas, laika, avota, izcelsmes, atbalsta, opozīcijas un vienkāršus prievardus, bet The Independent- mazāk vietas, laika un vairāk mērķa, pavadījuma, darītāja un mazāk vienkāršos prievārdos. Prievārdu izmantošana bija atšķirīga rakstu tēmu dēļ. Atslēgvārdi: prievārdi, tiešsaistes laikrakstu raksti, morfoloģiskā struktūra, semantiskā izmantošana Prepositions are an integral part of every written text as they express relations between entities. The goal of this research is to find out English preposition use in online newspaper articles and the method used is comparative analysis. Morphological structure and semantic use of prepositions were investigated. The analysis of twenty articles from The Guardian and The Independent revealed that The Guardian employed more prepositions of time, place, source, origin, agentive, support and simple prepositions, while The Independent employed fewer prepositions of place and time and more prepositions of purpose, accompaniment, agentive and fewer simple prepositions. The use of prepositions was different due to the topics of the articles. Key words: prepositions, online newspaper articles, morphological structure, semantic use
