Filatēlija un filatēlistu biedrības Latvijā starpkaru periodā

Abstract

Bakalaura darbā “Filatēlija un filatēlistu biedrības Latvijā starpkaru periodā” mērķis ir izpētīt filatēlijas kā pastmarku krāšanas hobija popularitāti Latvijas sabiedrībā un filatēlistu biedrību attīstību un darbību Latvijā starpkaru periodā. Līdz ar to veicināt tālāku filatēlijas nozares izpēti starpkaru periodā. Darba sākumā ir sniegts vispārējs ieskats pasta un pastmarkas attīstības vēsturē pirms Latvijas Republikas dibināšanas un Neatkarības cīņu laikā līdz 1920. gadam. Tālāk tiek aplūkota periodiskajos preses izdevumos atspoguļotā informācija par pastmarku izdošanas atbildīgo iestāžu darbību, kā arī filatēlijas atspoguļojumu periodiskajos izdevumos, līdz beigās tiek pievērsta uzmanība tieši filatēlistu biedrību darbībai Latvijā un to iesaistei filatēlijas attīstībā un sabiedriskajā dzīvē.

The aim of the bachelor thesis "Philately and Philatelic Societies in Latvia in the Interwar Period" is to explore the popularity of stamp collecting as a hobby in Latvian society and the development and activities of philatelic societies during the interwar period in Latvia. The goal is to encourage further research on philately during this time. The paper starts with a general overview of the history of post development and stamps prior to the establishment of the Republic of Latvia and during the independence struggle until 1920. Then it examines information from periodicals regarding the activities of stamp-issuing institutions and the coverage of philately in those periodicals. Finally, it focuses on the activities of philatelic societies in Latvia and their role in the development and public engagement with philately.
