Krāpšana informācijas sabiedrībā

Abstract

Mediji, valsts iestādes un bankas arvien vairāk ziņo par krāpšanu, kas veikta, izmantojot informācijas un komunikācijas tehnoloģijas. Ar šiem paziņojumiem sabiedrība tiek brīdināta neuzticēt savus personīgos datus trešajām personām, kā arī uzmanīgi izmantot tiešsaistē esošās programmas. Tomēr ik gadu turpina palielināties gan reģistrēto krāpšanu skaits, kas veiktas, izmantojot informācijas un komunikācijas tehnoloģijas, gan izkrāptās naudas summas. Darba ietvaros secināts, ka šobrīd pieejamie dati norāda, ka no krāpšanas, izmantojot informācijas un komunikācijas tehnoloģijas, visvairāk cieš jaunieši (vidēji vecumā no 18 līdz 25 gadiem) un pārsvarā cietušie ir sievietes, kas varētu būt saistāms ar vieglāku emocionālo ietekmēšanu vai vēlmi palīdzēt, ja krāpšana notikusi labdarības kontekstā (it īpaši ņemot vērā pēdējā laikā esošās daudzās ziedošanas akcijas, kas saistāmas ar notikumiem pasaulē).

Media, public authorities, and banks are increasingly reporting on fraud committed using information and communication technologies. With these notices, the public is warned not to entrust their personal data to third parties, and to use online programs with care. However, both the number of registered frauds committed using information and communication technologies and the amount of money defrauded continue to increase every year. As part of the work, it was concluded that currently available data indicate that young people (on average between 18 and 25 years old) suffer the most from fraud using information and communication technologies and that the majority of victims are women, which could be related to easier emotional influence or willingness to help if the fraud occurred in a charitable context (especially considering the recent number of donation campaigns related to world events).
