The master’s thesis "Claim as one of the Elements of an Application, Its Limits in the Constitutional Court Proceedings" examines the essence of the principle of application, the variety of applications before the Constitutional Court, claim as an integral part of an application, its nature and content, as well as the expansion and contraction of the limits of a claim. The study analyses the essence of the application principle and its expression before the Constitutional Court, the variety of applications before the Constitutional Court, indicating the features characteristic of each type of application, as well as the requirements of the subjects of constitutional review for submitting applications. The study assesses the claim as an integral part of the application, its nature and content, and other requests made in the application. The master’s thesis will also assess the possibilities of the Constitutional Court to expand or narrow the limits of the claim established by the subjects of the law. The thesis concludes that the claim is one of the most important components of the application in the Constitutional Court proceedings, because without the claim the application to the Constitutional Court is impossible. The claim is the applicant's request to declare a norm incompatible with a higher legal norm and it is the applicant who defines the limits of the claim in his/her application. In individual cases, the Constitutional Court has the right to change the limits of the claim by justifying the need to change the limits of the claim.
