Bachelor's thesis topic "Evaluation of Image Quality Criteria for Abdominal Computed Tomography Examinations in Patients with Hepatocellular Carcinoma" is relevant because hepatocellular carcinoma is one of the most common types of malignant liver cancer, being the third leading cause of death worldwide. This pathology can be diagnosed thanks to diagnostic methods such as ultrasonography and computed tomography. A qualitative and standards-compliant CT scan is a key prerequisite for the timely diagnosis of hepatocellular carcinoma. The aim of the study is to evaluate the image quality criteria for computed tomography examinations in patients with hepatocellular carcinoma. The objectives of the study are to analyze literature on liver anatomy and physiology, hepatocellular carcinoma, its etiology and pathogenesis, as well as clinical manifestations; to collect literature on computed tomography examinations of the liver in patients with hepatocellular carcinoma, patient preparation, contrast administration, protocol selection, as well as factors affecting quality when performing abdominal computed tomography examinations in patients with hepatocellular carcinoma; to analyze the obtained data and evaluate the image quality criteria for abdominal computed tomography examinations in patients with hepatocellular carcinoma; to describe the results obtained and draw conclusions. The research drew upon a variety of sources, including 35 literature references, 8 books, 2 guidelines, 17 scientific articles, and 8 video materials.
